This was always one of my kids' favorite books at bedtime。 It isn't surprising that all children enjoy hearing how much their mother loves them just before they go to bed。 We love having this in our library。 This was always one of my kids' favorite books at bedtime。 It isn't surprising that all children enjoy hearing how much their mother loves them just before they go to bed。 We love having this in our library。 。。。more

This book has been a favorite of mine and my sons since he was born! I love how sweet it is and how my son has always held my face like the boy on the stinky face page does。 Melts my heart ❤️

This is a wonderful book, full of imagination, great illustrations and engaging for young readers。

When I was younger, I thought this book was so funny because of all of the characters the little boy came up with。 Now, I think this is a really sweet book about a mom who truly loves her son no matter what。

Samantha Sweet

A family favorite!

Mom may or may not have cried about this lovely book。 However, I still say, the example not only of unconditional love but of complete support in that unconditional love is perfect。 This book should replace the giving tree as a standard about how parents love their children。

Elizabeth

I thought this was such a cute book, and great illustrations。

Normally I would never add children’s book to my count, but I read this to my son last night and I loved it so much I felt like I had to include it! 🥰🥰🥰

So cute。 Wish we read this one before "Merry Christmas, Stinky Face。" Could definitely read again (and again)。 So cute。 Wish we read this one before "Merry Christmas, Stinky Face。" Could definitely read again (and again)。 。。。more

This book is fun, but not a classic。 It appeals to the kid in me, and it has that wonderful repetitive rhythm to it that characterize the best children's books。 It's endearing, cute, but not classic。 This book is fun, but not a classic。 It appeals to the kid in me, and it has that wonderful repetitive rhythm to it that characterize the best children's books。 It's endearing, cute, but not classic。 。。。more

When my daughter was gifted this book at her 2-year-old birthday party, I was like 'EEEEW, my daughter is not a stinky face and we do not call each other names in this family!' :)But soon it became one of our favorite books with it's creative storyline and whimsical pictures。As a child questions her mother's love with outrageous scenarios, the child soon realizes there is no limit to a momma's love。 A precious thought that sends your child to dreamland wrapped in the warmth of knowing they are l When my daughter was gifted this book at her 2-year-old birthday party, I was like 'EEEEW, my daughter is not a stinky face and we do not call each other names in this family!' :)But soon it became one of our favorite books with it's creative storyline and whimsical pictures。As a child questions her mother's love with outrageous scenarios, the child soon realizes there is no limit to a momma's love。 A precious thought that sends your child to dreamland wrapped in the warmth of knowing they are loved dearly。 。。。more

this book is a great book for a mother to read to a child。 it displays how beautiful the love and affection from mother and child can be。 i love it !

Cute how the kid thinks of everything he possibly can to repulse his mom and she still finds a way to be there and love him unconditionally。 The theme is similar to THE RUNAWAY BIUNNY but kids need to hear again and again that they are loved no matter what

Aarushi Puri

We love this book and all the pretty pictures。 Aarushi, Mama loves you no matter how stinky you are。

Aurora

My favorite book to read to Ella

Danny

Cute little book。 Appropriate for reading to small children。 How do you reassure children that you will love them no matter what? By suggesting the most outrageous examples you could ever think of…

My kids had me read this every night for months。 SUCH a great story :)

I read this book over and over again to my son when he was a toddler。 This is a beautiful tribute to the unconditional love between a parent and child。

I read this book as a child and rediscovered it as an adult。 I really enjoyed reading it again and being able to connect with the theme。 The mom in the story loves her child unconditionally and I think that is a very important thing to do as a mom。 It reminded me of children who come out to their parents as part of the LGBTQ community and some parents do not support it and show their child love like they should。 This book is a good reminder to parents to love their children no matter what。 Also I read this book as a child and rediscovered it as an adult。 I really enjoyed reading it again and being able to connect with the theme。 The mom in the story loves her child unconditionally and I think that is a very important thing to do as a mom。 It reminded me of children who come out to their parents as part of the LGBTQ community and some parents do not support it and show their child love like they should。 This book is a good reminder to parents to love their children no matter what。 Also the illustrations are well drawn。 I noticed that they looked like they were done in colored pencil。 。。。more

(build language, practice reading skills, teach a concept, whole group read-aloud, etc。) This book is one that is probably best suited as a bed-time story。 It allows the child to know the unconditional love of their mother but does not bring any real value to the education of the child。 。。。more

I read this as part of a collection of stories but I'm going to buy a hardcover of this story。 I would call it a sassy modern retelling of Runaway Bunny。 I read this as part of a collection of stories but I'm going to buy a hardcover of this story。 I would call it a sassy modern retelling of Runaway Bunny。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 My daughter asks me to read this at least 3 times before bedtime。 I don't mind coz it's a fun read。 We love the little boy's imagination。 I thought the page about the mom sticking her head into the alligator's (her son's) mouth was a little suicidal but the things we do for our kids, right?
